Bellator: Media Day

Project Info
I worked on the environmental graphics and production deliverables for Bellator’s media day supporting the Bellator on CBS broadcast at the Kia Forum. The project involved adapting the event’s fight graphics into large-scale installations used throughout the venue for press coverage, fighter interviews, and promotional photography.
The visual system followed the red, black, and white palette used across Bellator’s Showtime broadcast branding to maintain consistency between the live event environment and the televised presentation. I translated the fight graphics into multiple large-format applications including step-and-repeat backdrops, pillar wraps, exterior entrance signage, media check-in displays, and press conference stage graphics.
For the large venue pillars featuring the main event fighters, I used a photo of the Kia Forum exterior as the background to connect the graphics to the location while keeping the fighters as the focal point of the installation. The venue’s existing red and white architectural accents also aligned naturally with Bellator’s Showtime-era color palette, helping the graphics integrate with the space. The press conference stage backdrop was designed to frame the fighters during media interviews while maintaining clear brand visibility for broadcast cameras and press photographers.
I worked closely with PR, production teams, and print vendors to prepare the artwork for large-format production and ensure the graphics were installed correctly throughout the venue.
The installations also served as the visual backdrop for fighter face-offs, press photography, and media coverage throughout the event. The final installation created a cohesive visual environment that supported media coverage, press conferences, and promotional content surrounding the event.
